This crib-size batting measures 45" x 60" and is made from 100% unbleached cotton, making it a wonderful choice for quilts made with medium to dark-colored fabrics. Tuscany Unbleached Cotton is designed to provide a soft hand, even appearance, and natural cotton feel. Made from long-staple virgin cotton fibers, this low-loft batting is needle punched to help resist bunching and shifting, without the use of scrim or binders. The natural unbleached color works especially well behind richer fabrics, helping preserve the warmth and depth of medium and dark quilt tops. For white, cream, pastel, or very light fabrics, bleached batting is usually the better choice to help avoid shadowing. Use straight from the package. Prewashing is not recommended. After quilting and washing, the batting will shrink approximately 3–5%, creating the soft, gently puckered texture many quilters love.
