Panel Show Off | SewEndipitous® Art Exhibit

Some quilts begin with a single focal point and build outward. Panel Show Off does exactly that, turning one standout panel into the center of a composition that feels fresh, graphic, and full of personality.

Pieced by Elizabeth Hamilton and quilted by Trace Creek Quilting, this exhibit was created using the “Panel Show Off” pattern by Copper Kettle Quilt Co. and features the True to Hue fabric collection, designed by Alli K Design for Moda Fabrics. The result is a quilt that balances bold structure with playful energy, giving the featured panel room to shine while surrounding it with color, contrast, and movement.

At the center of the piece, the floral panel immediately draws the eye. Framed by a striking black-and-white check layout, the bouquet becomes the visual heart of the quilt — lively, confident, and unmistakably intentional. That checkerboard treatment adds a strong graphic quality, creating a dramatic backdrop that makes the florals feel even more vibrant.

Around the edges, the supporting fabrics extend the story beautifully. The varied prints and colors echo the spirit of the central panel without competing with it, creating a border that feels coordinated but not predictable. Soft aquas, citrus tones, warm peach, black-and-white accents, and lively prints all work together to give the quilt a modern, curated feel. It is a wonderful example of how a well-chosen fabric collection can create harmony even when the individual prints are full of personality.
