Class Summary:

This is one of my favorite quilts from the new book ”Stripology Quickies” and it was the first one I made after purchasing the book. In making this quilt, we’ll work on piecing skills to help you match those triangle points, work on block construction, then finish with some quilt assembly tips. Scrappy would be a great option for this quilt. Fabric requirements are listed as either half yards or fat quarters but, if you want to add even more variety, you could use fat eighths (9” x 21”) as well.

Required Supplies:

The following supplies are available or can be ordered through Sewendipitous - please plan ahead to make sure you have the following supplies before the class. You can see a staff member or Lisa for any ordering needs.

Stripology Quickies book - each student needs their own book (no exceptions). Please purchase the book well in advance of the class so you can look at the fabric requirements.
Stripology Squared or Stripology XL ruler
Check the fabric requirements in the book as you decide on the size quilt you’d like to make. The sample in the shop is the Crib size indicated in the pattern. (Very generous crib size!)
Treating your fabrics with Best Press or starch helps with accurate cutting and piecing.

Class Supplies:

GEasy Ruler Stickers - highly recommended (what's a Stripology class without ruler stickers?)
¼” foot made for your sewing machine
Sewing Machine in good working condition (with the manual and accessories)
Pins
Spare Needles (I prefer an 80/12)
Snipping Scissors
Neutral Thread and full bobbin(s)
Seam ripper
Rotary cutter and extra blade(s)
Cutting mat - must have your own for this project (18x24 at least - helps with accurate ruler placement and cutting)
Pressing mat
Portable iron

Recommended:

Cleaning your machine on a regular basis (and before a class) helps it to work efficiently and helps you to avoid issues while in class. A new needle and a change of your rotary cutter blade also adds to your success with a new project.

Additionally, must be 18 years or older to register unless otherwise approved by instructor in advance.

You cancel 30 days prior to the Class/Event.
The instructor cancels.
