Class Summary

How did we make the triangles in this quilt dance and move at random? That’s what you’ll find out in this two part class! The Katrina quilt requires some special cutting skills made easier and more accurate by using the Stripology Squared ruler and GEasy Ruler Stickers. We’ll be doing the cutting together in class one step at a time, so you can hone the skills needed to create this beautiful and fun quilt.

Supplies Required for the Project

- Stripology Squared ruler (highly recommended for its accuracy) - Stripology Mixology 3 Book - see fabric requirements and sample quilts in the book (and in the shop) then decide what works best for you - dark and light fabrics (in a layer cake for instance) OR “dark” fabrics with a consistent background fabric.

Class Supplies

- GEasy Ruler Stickers - highly recommended (Post-It brand arrows are too large for this project) - 1” wide Painter’s tape or Glow Tape - ¼” foot made for your sewing machine - Sewing Machine in good working condition (with the manual and accessories) - Pins - Spare Needles and bobbins - Snipping Scissors - Neutral Thread and full bobbin(s) - Seam ripper - Rotary cutter and extra blade(s) - Cutting mat - must have your own for this project - Pressing mat - Portable iron
